Queens of FDS, I am B O T H E R E D by an old university acquaintance of mine not being friends with her current boyfriend on Facebook. I've checked like half a dozen times to be sure, and while he is friends with a mutual friend of ours, he is not friends with her--despite her tagging him in all sorts of posts and pictures going back like two years!
Is there any legitimate explanation for this, or is the acquaintance in question simply drowning in the depths of pickmeism and refusing to see this as the sign of scrotery that it is?
Like goddamn I was even friends with random Tinder matches in the past...*
*I do NOT recommend doing this though, they were LVM and/or orbiters 99% of the time
😫
That's such a huge red flag and I'm surprised she doesn't see it. An ex never posted pics of us, in his Instagram profile but I happily did. I would ask him the reason and he would make up some excuse, turns out he had a hoard of women in his inbox , with whom he used to flirt a lot, explicitly and daily. Like, he was showing other women that he was still available. I'm not sure what your acquaintance's boyfriend's reason must be, but I can tell you it ain't a good one. He's hiding a lot of shit there.
Personally I refuse to add men I see to my barely used IG, since I only add my friends, but I definitely advocate having access to your male partner's social media. That's just odd.
Yikes.
I'm assuming he hasn't posted anything about her? Is his relationship status set?
I can't think of any reason if he's active on Facebook. That's so weird.
I suppose couples should be on each other's friends lists. However, I've decided if I date someone I will have his account blocked. This is because in my last relationship I found myself posting thirst trap pics, and always stressing over whether or not the scrote I was dating hearted them. I'm also going to refuse to communicate via text. Too much is lost in translation/ up for interpretation, and it creates a false sense of intimacy. I just want to get to know someone for real and not let any of this stuff get in the way. Then once things are solid I suppose I'll add him. Sorry, I realize I just made this all about me 🤣. I digress.
