I had a pickme friend who stopped talking after she got a new man. We only talked when we bump into each other like nothing happened but on fb all my msg gets ignored until she fell off the radar. She even make posts on fb where she claims that She won't date females or form friendships with them because they are problematic while she got SA by her previous bf.
Oh well I'm not bothered because people come people go I never grow attached to anyone because of this.
Some months later I got a msg from her I kept my answers brief wondering what she wants. She then said If I have the time to come over to her house and clean it. She feels ashamed to ask because her place is a mess and she has a lot of debt so she can't hire a cleaner. I wanted to be spiteful and ask where her man is, let him roll up his sleeve and do it for her since he's behind the ps5 a lot he probably has plenty of time. Or If she wasn't so judgmental of women she would have had a girlfriend who would gladly keep her house tidy since housewives out preform husbands all the time, even the ones who stay at home.
But I let it slide, she knows she made her bed and being snarky is just going to make her feel worse. I just told her I can't and no longer respond letting her lie in it alone. It's not my fault nor my problem because she chose to keep her female friends at arms length.
I feel a bit disappointed that a so called friend only sees value in female friends and a sisterhood when her man is a big toddler and can't have her needs met.
All I can say to these women is.. Bye Felicia.

Some women are basically all about prioritising men in the desperation of finding that one to spend life with. I've actually heard it out of the mouths of a couple, along the lines of 'What's the point of friends? They're never going to be there for you like a boyfriend or partner who is tied to you.' The evidence tells quite the contrary story. It's really dispectful to their friends, and I drop people like this immediately when they reveal themselves. They just don't deserve your friendship and it will never be mutual.
This is basically my former best friend. We've known each other since we were 7 years old. The moment she gets some LV bf she disappears off the face of the planet and only comes back when her relationship ends or she needs to complain about it. In the current one, she takes a 2 hour train to meet her long distance bf every weekend (he never comes to her town) and this mf has TONSIL STONES and all of a sudden she started getting them too (it's disgusting - apparently his breath is awful and just typing about it makes me nauseous). He routinely says he won't marry her and she's probably not the best person for him but he's willing to settle *to her face*. I can't believe she really prefers his company to those of women she's known for decades. She'll straight up make plans every now and then to celebrate events (e.g. my recent publication, someone's birthday etc.) and then bail on the plans she made.
Even our mutual friends who aren't into FDS treat her like a joke now because of it.
She asked you to clean her house? Wtf

I have a friend (or had, rather) who moved all the way to Chicago, hasn't lived anywhere near me in more than 10 years, married the dude, and now has a baby, and wants to connect here and there and usually barrages my phone with huge paragraphs about her life and stuff. Doesn't seem to get the hint when I offer up very short but polite responses. Maybe I should just stop responding. I hate feeling like an asshole but we were loose friends in high school and it's been like 16+ years. It's run its course and she doesn't seem to be aware she's married to a scrote. And he is a scrote, 100%.
