Those pickmes who are not comfortable sharing the limelight with you are the absolute worst. If you don't like me then there is no need to pretend, I have always been a handful. But commenting on my jewellery which I buy with my own money just to appear cool and garner laughs is so pick-me-coded.
Pickmes have a habit of negging constantly. This one gets drunk even at office parties. I of course ignored it and spoke to my friends about it to cope. Has anyone been in a similar boat and got ahead of the whole situation?
Look for another job/career, be the very best at your job so you get promoted to somewhere else or become their superior , make work friends with people in power, learn how to become witty if it is safe to put them in their place...
Tell them it's because you have six husbands. Dumb comments warrant dumb replies.
Do not engage with them. I encountered way more drama and difficulty in the workplace from women than men. Just do not engage, keep everything super shallow, super uninvolved. Do not make any friendly advances because they will perceive it all wrong. Maybe keep a log of what these women do/say. Tread carefully OP!
Yea from my pick me ass mom and then I remember middle school bullies. Just know it’s very immature very child like mentality they have.
I'm sorry your coworker tried to steal the limelight from you. What exactly did they say?
