It's a video about Beyonce madeby a woman who is a fan of hers, but who also thinks critically about her. I agree with everything she says in the video. She's great at analyzing the lyrics. Definitely deserves the watch.

EDIT: I didn't realize I could have embeded the video. Sorry 😅
Great video and analysis! That's so many people in the entertainment industry. Some are even viewed as feminists too like her. Since levelling up and finding FDS in the the process (my journey began before FDS), I see pick me-ism in various media. Music isn't the only realm. It's something ingrained in the culture. People don't become pick mes overnight nor are they born that way, they're groomed by family, society and mainstream media into being pick mes.
Yes 100%. I also would love a video like this about Ariana Grande's most recent music. I feel like after Thank U Next, the people behind her were like oh okay this is too far, women are gonna start getting self esteem so let's bring out a whole lot of trash pick-me songs. I mean "Positions" was the worst. "Switching positions for you, I'm cooking in the kitchen then I'm in the bedroom, I'm in the Olympics the way I'm jumping through hoops????" AWFUL
I promise you a man will never teach me how to be a woman.
Beyonce, Ariana — they make pop music that has a lot of inconsistencies in their lyrics. I think it's because they don't write their own songs. What they have is a team of writers and they just contribute a couple of lyrics. The creative direction, feel, attitude and ideas are all conceived by the music producer/label. Very few commercially hit artists are actually the voice behind their product.
