I should have blocked and deleted Texas Lawyer Guy way before I did. But I read another post on here about how we are conditioned to be nice, keep people as friends, and give chances. No more.
I should have b&d after he said he had reservations. That gave me reservations. Now I know: trust my gut.
When he made the crack about my allegedly “fragile” health and that I should re-think the Camino (clipping my wings), I was enraged. I should have b&d then.
I have gotten rid of the vast majority of my pick me tendencies and it’s taken a lifetime. For 25 years, I was protected since I was married and the dating world is way different.
What got me was sunk cost fallacy, or is that phallusy? He was nice, funny, entertaining most of the time, and then randomly he wasn’t.
I don’t know if I mentioned but a day or so ago he sent me a link to an article about Richard Simmons who has become a shut-in and a recluse. He said it reminded him of me as an introvert. Folks, Simmons is not an introvert. He dials extroversion up to 11. I wrote back and told TLG that, and said that’s not what an introvert is. He agreed. But that’s negging and if he equates introversion to being a shut-in and recluse, that’s awful, way wrong.
Bottom line, trust my gut and act decisively the first time. Dick is abundant and low value.

Reminds me of what this guy "friend" I had years ago once said to me. He basically said that he could imagine me as a hermit because of my introversion.
