Is there anything that can break your faith in marriage more than having to deal with men and the way they behave when their wives aren't around? It is absolutely disgusting. They appear to be loyal husbands when together, but when the wife is away they come to complain about their dead bedrooms. One scrote brought me a huge bag of avocados because he overheard me telling another mom that the market nearby never has good ones. He then launched into a bunch of complaints about his wife. At this moment, my ex-husband arrived and took his place nearby. I replied to the scrote: "Your wife is very beautiful and charming. You're lucky to have her. And even if she wasn't, co-parenting is a special kind of hell that I would not recommend to anyone."
Side rant: I am so freaking angry I have to see my ex at these events. He has professionally supervised visitation, but because my attorney didn't specifically address what is to happen at children's sports events, I am legally required to invite him to them. It makes no freaking sense. He arrives out of his mind on meth, and I'm so embarrassed of the man he's become.
Can you ask your attorney about court-ordered drug testing as a condition of visitation? If he's doing meth he won't be allowed around your child at all, which is for the best. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this.
Scrotes will be scrotes. It honestly makes me more angry how their pickme wives ususally react to that behaviour: by blaming the woman for "tempting" their husbands and shunning her instead of their loser husbands.
It happened to a friend of mine when she became a single mum. Everything was fine as long as she was married but as soon as her husband was out of the picture the other moms started to avoid her and even stopped inviting her to events or her child to playdates. One even openly told her she didn't "trust a pretty woman like her around her husband". She was heartbroken because she really thought those women were her friends.
It also happens to a lot of women once their friends get married and they are the only single one left... can't invite the single woman to "double dates" and "couple's game night", right? Pickmes will throw other women - even long term friends - under the bus for a scrote without a second thought. I lost a few "friends" myself that way.
Relatable. I took myself on a solo overseas vacation this year. Well, solo women travelers are like catnip to these guys. At the hotel breakfast the married men — with THREE KIDS EACH — would not stop gawking. I honestly don’t even think the single ones did that. But the married dads were breaking their necks to stare at me silently eat my breakfast. While I don’t want it to hamper my feelings about marriage any more than they are, it was beyond disappointing.
Definitely talk to your attorney about your ex and him showing up on meth.
