R.I.P. Tina Turner!!!! She’s proof that it is never too late to change your life. I’m so grateful she survived Ike’s abuse - he would have eventually killed here if she hadn’t gotten out. Her 3rd act in life spiritually is also fascinating. What a formidable Queen she was!
Ike turner claims the movie didn't portrayed him right, saying there are plenty of lies and there were a lot of things he didn't do... yet in the same interview he mentions he slapped her because she was sad and wouldn't tell him why she was sad. And as soon as he slapped her her mood changed to happy.
I have admired her for her fierce femininity for a very long time. The fact that she was able to change course for herself and find love later in life is truly inspirational for me. (Is this the first time I am using the word inspirational? 👀)
Did you know that she had a musical on Broadway? Judging from the comments it was worth the ticket!
