This is a bit random, but thought this was a good place to ask! About a year ago, I had three months of the worst periods I have ever had. I was in so much pain and felt so sick for days each time. Then they just got better and have been totally normal since then. It just occurred to me that this was such a random blip in my menstrual life. I never normally have painful periods apart from a bit of cramping on day 1.
Anyone know what could be the cause of this? I was a little underweight at the time and going through some stressful things.
Stress and being underweight can absolutely be the cause but did you have Covid around that time or shortly before that by any chance?
When I got it it messed up my cycle pretty badly (long, heavy periods with a lot of clotting and pain starting two weeks before I would normally get them and then a slightly random cycle) and it took around 6 months for them to be halfway normal and regular again.
