Do you all think that the "Fat Acceptance Community" has gone too far? We see it all the time now that you can be healthy at every size. Personally, I don't belive that. I found this video from Blair White. Yes, you should be comfortable in your body, but let's not pretend that being obese/morbidly obese is healthy because eventually it does catch up to you. I'm overweight for a couple of years and had my gallbladder removed in January. I've lost some weight, but I still have a way to go.
What do you all think?
Without watching the video, I’d say they’ve gone too far. I’ve been following lots of fat positive people for a few years now because I’m just shocked at the things they claim.
You would think it would be a wake up call now that a few of these fat activists have died young and have died of obesity related illnesses BUT this group doesn't think obesity makes you ill. They never even talk about the ones that have passed away recently because it ruins their world view.
This movement seems to be a bunch of fat pick me’s who say things like “examine your preferences“ “if fat people aren’t attractive to you , you’re fat phobic”
I assume it’s low self esteem because I’m sure men treat them badly but you’re not owed a date with anyone.
I don’t understand how they can operate on social media. They spread harmful ideas and promote binge eating but anything that is pro Ana get banned because they promote eating disorders as well. Both group shouldn’t be allowed in my opinion.
If anyone thinks I’m being harsh, I’m really not. I used to be fatter (I’m still over weight) but have lost around 50lbs. So I understand that it’s hard to make changes but you will NEVER get anywhere with their mindset. Also if any of them attempt to lose weight they’re kicked out of that “inclusive” group. How are these good people?
