Most fashion brands sell women's clothes with the first purpose of them being to be sexy. Tight, revealing, cropped here or cut out there, using flimsy materials that are virtually see-through. Jeans that fit on your waist then squeeze the crap out of your butt, even though they're made of denim and it's super uncomfortable on your skin.
Has anyone heard of any female clothing brands that are specifically focused on solving this problem? Offering a line of clothes with women's comfort as the first priority? They can still look good, but I'm sick of every option being some sexualised male fantasy.
I went shopping over the last two days to get some new essential pieces for summer and was appalled at what kind of garbage stores are peddling as 'clothing' for women and girls.
The manuacturing has taken an absolute nosedive into the toilet, crooked seams, wrinkled finishes, loose threads and uneven fit. The fabric is cheap and thin as physically possible and far too much of the selection is incredibly revealing and otherwise over sexualized.
These big stores used to have decent clothing for decent prices. Now the prices have skyrocketed and quality disappeared. Because of this shopping is an absolute CHORE, sifitng through mountains of disposable future garbage instead of enjoying choosing beautiful new garments.
It makes me want to start a clothing brand with a classy, modest intelligent woman in mind. There is a maddening middle class market gap for this kind of clothing.
