So often I read about battered women who still have to be in contact with their ex. Often the child has been abused too. Why? Why is the right of an abuser to be a "parent" worth more than the safety of the victim(s)?

Courts have always favored males.
They almost always get what they want when they ask, and when they do, they commit more pedophilia, child abuse, and murder than us.
