I would also argue that a woman should never "remain friends" with a man that she has rejected romantically. Not just because the majority of men are not interested in platonic friendships with women but also because the man will probably try to get back at the woman for rejecting him which leads to situations like this. Just to be clear, I'm not victim blaming the woman here. The man is clearly in the wrong and clearly a scrote.

This man's refusal to pay for a ride of merely 3 blocks purposefully put her in danger as retaliation.

Again, they know perfectly well what they are doing. So many men are just overall bad people.

I have learned the hard way about being friends with males. They take advantage and tell everyone you "friend zoned" them to make everyone pity them. They then keep trying and do the "but I'm a nice guy!" act. Since making my friend group only females (no pickmes allowed), my life is 1000% better.

Appalled but not surprised.

I had several close male friends throughout middle/high school, and every single one of them caught feelings. EVERY SINGLE ONE. It ruins the whole tone of the friendship.

While they were still gracious and never did anything so awful as this scrote, it was uncomfortable staying friends knowing they still held out hope for a relationship that would never happen.

I'm glad she shamed her "male friend". I know many women in New York who wouldn't have the courage to speak up about something like this on social media.
