Reddit is full of pages about how to control, abuse and rape women. I believe that every guy who uses Reddit has checked out at least a few of these. Nothing on there surprises me any more.
How incredibly despicable. This reminds me of an ex of mine… he would say stuff like, “Women actually want to be treated badly, that’s why they date assholes instead of nice guys.” He told me that he lived his life according to the rules in the “48 Laws of Power” book. I tried to read the book and found it to be a really icky way of interacting with the world - nearly all of the “Laws” were strategies used by war generals to win battles, and many if not all of them were based on manipulating people.
I’m now VERY wary of people who idolize the works of Robert Greene. I myself own a couple of his books and have found them interesting - human psychology is a personal interest of mine. But if everyone were living their life attempting to gain power through manipulation, the world would be a lot worse off (and many of the people who are making the world so awful are themselves living by such a strategy - desiring power over all else, with no qualms over how they may harm the people around them).
