This women never thought she was in danger. She was abused by her husband, he was always sorry, so she believed he wouldn't hurt her again. Sometimes people feel invincible, and they get on a bad path and become addicts and make all the wrong choices. Proof that you can be his wife, you can be the mother of his child, and you could be a victim of abuse and assault. None of these statuses protect you from anything.
This is horrifying, my heart hurts having watched this. I took a psychiatry course and this was a video we had to watch.

I'd take it a step further and tell people to leave at the first sign of disrespect
