A Washington state podcast host who was killed by her stalker last week said she had a "deep-seated fear" for her safety, writing in a request for a protection order that the man tormented and harassed her and her husband for months.
Zohreh Sadeghi requested that the order last "99 years" because the man, Ramin Khodakaramrezaei, 38, had shown "no indication that he will stop his frightening and dangerous behavior after one year."
When will police take stalking seriously?
I hate people who tell you to "just" get a restraining order. If you've ever actually went and gotten one, you know that: restraining orders do nothing, it takes a ton of time, effort, and in person visits and legwork to get one, and cops are assholes and don't care. No one cares. Restraining orders prevent nothing. They're only good for news articles like this after the woman gets murdered so men can go like, "OH GOLLY GEE SHE WASN'T LYING AFTERALL!!!!!"
I mean, get one as documentation. But this is the reality.
There's a chapter in The Gift of Fear called Persistence, persistence. Really relevant. The thing about using police to intimidate or influence a stalker to stop is that it just teaches the stalker that the police won't do anything against them. A stalker doesn't use rational logic or the same type of reasoning a normal person would use. A restraining order often turns into a death sentence for the victim.
Lol all I needed to do was read her name. The police are 99% racist and they don't care about SA because they are secretly pervs too.
This is why I have a gun. Cops don't prevent crime. Restraining orders don't do shit and the law does not protect women either. So.
Her husband failed to protect her, why was he married to her then? Stalkers usually target women who live alone without family members to defend her but this woman has a husband, He's probably a coward like the stalker who killed her.
