Hey ladies. I saw a recent post about HVM hobbies, but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for HVW hobbies. Some of my hobbies that I consider HV are drawing, playing the piano, writing, and learning German. Is there any other hobby that I should be getting into that’s HV, or hobbies that will be resource for leveling up and my mental health?

HV hobbies are activities that you enjoy, they add value to your life and do not subtract from or negatively impact your pursuit of other important goals. I love to bake; I enjoy cooking as well but would choose baking over cooking. I love being around animals and nature. I love the quietness of libraries. I love skating with music on. I love working out at the gym. I love shopping for new candles and pajamas and buying gifts for people I care about. Whatever you enjoy that makes you feel happier, enriches your life, feeds your soul, and doesn’t disrupt your ability to provide for yourself is a wholesome HV hobby imo. I hope this thread gives you some good ideas to peruse through.
I love reading and working out. I just picked up kickboxing 2+ months ago and it’s been the best thing ever for my mental health.
I also speak/study German! Other hobbies of mine are art (drawing and painting), sewing, going for long walks with audiobooks, and running an Etsy shop for vintage clothing. They all feel like HV pursuits to me. Really anything where you’re working on your mind, body, or creativity is worthwhile.
I think everyone should have some art related hobbies like drawing&painting&embroidery, some music related hobbies or just playing an instrument, and some spor related hobbies. I like lifting&walking. I think everything that makes you relax, makes you enjoy the moment and feel alive, improve yourself in anyway counts :)
Any type of dancing lessons. Fun and a workout!
Book clubs! Such a great place to expand your horizon and practice your social and conversational skills :) Other hobbies I enjoy include reading, stand-up shows, and workshops.
My hobbies are cross stitch, crochet, journaling, hiking, swimming, traveling, camping, writing, drawing, reading, golfing, watching HBO/Hulu and watching ppl on youtube deep clean cars. I can conveniently do a couple of these while also doing others. Like listening to audio books while I golf or draw and being able to crochet while I watch Sailor Moon or Gentleman Jack.
Any sport that resonates with you. It's important to stay active and have fun :) I took up swimming and it's really getting me in shape
I have hobbies in a couple of categories:
Active - gym, long walks
Creative - calligraphy, watercolour painting, occasionally writing, and journalling
Skill(?) - cooking/baking, piano, learning Chinese/Korean
Social - board and video games (not like first person shooters eww, but like anything with a good story, or with creative elements). I also like watching movies/selected anime with family, but don't really do much solo, as they are mostly consuming and not creating things, but great for de-stressing.
There are also things I've dabbled in/interested in pursuing further but have no time to properly look into - paper flower making, archery, badminton, singing, drawing, etc.
I find HV kind of hobbies tend to be more creating something rather than consuming something, but you need a balance, there was a point where I was pushing myself to create all the time and ended up with a creative block.
Yacht sailing? Sounds fun
