I come from a world where $40 is nickel and dimed. Forget about dating, these guys are pressed to spend even $25 if they don’t get a guarantee on being touched. I just got a glimpse into wealthy people mentality I think?
I got lucky and got connected to a very wealthy woman who I wrote a bio for a reporter to use as a jumping off point for an interview. I interviewed her and then turned it around in 18 hours. She paid me a deposit, then what remained of the balance once it was completed. $750 total. Before she even read it. For me, that is a lot of money for 4, 5 hours work. I am glad to be paid quickly but she hasn’t even said anything about whether she liked it or not. I guess that makes me feel insecure about whether it was good?
For all her wealth she seemed very down to earth. So is this just a case of $750 being chump change to these people to get a task done, and I just don’t get it? I feel like on this forum some of you have more exposure to wealthy people and can help make it click for me so I can stop stressing about the lack of feedback. Thanks.
time is money. investing in speed + convenience (and creating mental space) is the best investment one can make.
She probably runs a business- even if it's her own- and sees it as saving her a bunch of time/energy. If she doesn't like your work she contract your work again
This vid will explain it precisely
