Hello Queens!!!
We are at Week 10 of levelling it up!! ๐๐พย Wow the time is flying!!
It is such a pleasure to have this space and group to hold each other accountable!
For anyone not familiar or needs a refresher below are the ground rules of the thread.
This is a non-judgement free space. We want ppl to feel comfortable sharing what goals they are working on. If commenter feels that a goal someone is working on is too big please provide constructive feedback (no shaming) on how they can improve their goal
Please start a new comment when posting your goal and then ppl reply on to that persons goal. It makes it easier to be able to track it
A new thread will be posted every Monday morning and another new post on Sunday will be โreflections of the past weekโ where we will discuss the wins, challenges and action plans for Monday. So feel free to comment anytime throughout the week.
Goals can be in any area of your life that youโre wanting to level up. Some examples are health/wellness, career, school, friendships, hobbies etc
Comment down below your new and/or updated goals โบ๏ธ
This is my first time commenting on these weekly threads but I was inspired by you wonderful ladies and want to join in ๐ I have a tendency to take on too much at a time so I'm only going to start with two goals! 1. Career/School: Spend at least 30 minutes a day studying. This may seem like a small amount but since it's my last week of summer break and I've been working, I haven't been studying much and want to at least get back into the rhythm of it. I'd love to study for more than 30 minutes but if I set a smaller goal, it seems more doable and I often end up surpassing it ๐ 2. Health/Fitness: Go to sleep by 11:30PM and be up by 7AM. This is pretty self explanatory but my sleep schedule has been out of wack so I'm trying to get back to some semblance of normalcy.
Grateful for this accountability, thanks for making space ๐ค
1. I moved to a new city with a decent salary for the average person but my big beautiful apartment is expensive and taking up way too much of my income. Big goal: build a side hustle to supplement my income. Baby steps: this weekโs goal is to not eat out. This is where most of my unnecessary spending is going and until I have a bigger income I need to eat at home.
2. I really want a toned booty. Work out at least 3x this week. This will hopefully look like 1 big hike and 2 HIIT workouts.
3. Iโm a Virgo/libra cusp and my virgo is coming out in full force. I want to make myself a weekly โgoal chartโ . I want to make a check list of all the things I want to practice/do each week and cross it off when itโs complete. It will include practicing guitar and Spanish x times, reading for x mins, workouts, etc etc.
Accountability and growth baby! Wishing you all your hearts wishes ๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐๐
I'm sticking with last week's decision to make only one goal per week, but still continue with the previous weeks' goals. So, this week I'll be continuing to get used to my new sleep schedule (10 p.m. to 6 a.m.) and keep implementing my rule of "all electronics off at 9 p.m." So far, mostly good (see accountability update thread for my specifics on that, if you're interested!).
It was hard to choose a new (additional) goal for this week because there are so many things clamoring for my attention. But I think I'll choose "making a real budget" as the most necessary. (I can tell it's the one I should choose, because it's the one I LEAST want to do!) I've always been half-assed about budgeting -- I tend to just "estimate" how much I'll need, and with inflation and so forth, that just isn't going to cut it anymore. I will look online for some good tips and maybe some software, but I'd rather not do it all online because I grow more and more suspicious of online security, etc. Even if things are anonymized, I still don't want to be contributing to some huge database somewhere.
If anyone has any budgeting tips, I'm all ears!
Career: starting a new job TODAY. GOAL: Remain open and positive. New job scaries are setting in! Health/wellness: workout 3x this week Hobbies/friendship: get out and try 1 new thing or explore a new space in an effort to either enjoy myself, get to know my city, or expand my circle
Hey ladies. First off, I wanted to say that Iโm so happy to see yโall posting your goals and for people replying back and giving such great advice and encouragement. I started this as a space as I was at (and still am) struggling with working towards goals and holding myself accountable. This week Iโve been struggling with my clinical placement and my next steps for entry to practice. Im saying this as I donโt want anyone thinking that I have my life together and that I need this space as much if not more than anyone here. Itโs been inspiring to hear from you all and it has helped me especially times like this where Iโve been struggling. My goals for the remainder of the week - attend counselling session tomorrow and discuss action plan to be able to manage and thrive in my placement -update my CV/resume and send it to my mentor - prepare and practice for virtual job fair on Friday - attend Saturday morning Zumba class - write in my prayer journal
Hello hello coming back after covid kicked my butt the last couple weeks! Here are my goals for this week:
Fitness:
-10k steps a day
-run a four miler again
Career:
-edit resume
-apply to at least ONE job
Finances:
-cancel subscriptions I'm not using (done!)
Good luck ladies!
Coming in after a bad breakup so the rest of this week I'm just trying to focus on self care (taking care of my hygiene, getting back into a routine, etc.) I'm starting a self help book called "calling in the one" so I'm going to aim to complete at least one lesson owe day. .
Iam sticking to my 1 month sugar detox . Truly a Rollercoaster ride . Sisters it not only helped my skin glow but also made me lose weight without putting much thought in it as we know sugar addiction really sabotages our body goals . I am reading fds books . Starting with healing and then going on to dating books recommended by fds .
I'm back! I'm been hella busy but...
I've finally printed out the photo-gifts for my coworkers...I'll distribute them tomorrow. โบ๏ธ
I've been working on my business daily. I've applied to two markets and I'm working on fall product launch for next month. I also sent out a newsletter to my existing customers which was a big goal of mine because I hate "bothering" people.
More goals
Finalize a larger discovery set for my local wholesale customer
Send out the first of 4 sample discovery sets to a few individuals I met at a networking event. I plan on staggering mail times so that they can talk to each other about it and build anticipation for their respective discovery sets.
Shop a new insurance policy for my business
Tomorrow will be the end of week 2 since I cut table sugar from my diet. I am still consuming sugar substitutes (like aspartame in diet drinks), but my taste for that is subsiding! I canโt tell you how many positive changes, both internally and externally, that Iโve noticed! I did have a thin slice of ice cream cake at a bday last week, but I barely finished it and was relieved that it satisfied whatever sweet tooth I had. Upward and onward! ๐๐พ
@Runner_Woman I will post properly, but I want to ask- do you have a set number of weeks you have intended to keep this going?
I need to do a test work for a job offer. That'll take priority over everything else for now.
The constraints to achieve it: my CPTSD, noisy scrotes neighbours who ruin my sleep schedule and act as demoralizing factor in general.
How I try to overcome those: meditating and listening to audiobook by Michele Obama.
