Hello Queens!!!☺️
It’s Monday and you know what that means….a new week to work on goals!!
It is such a pleasure to have this space and group to hold each other accountable!
For anyone not familiar or needs a refresher below are the ground rules of the thread.
This is a non-judgement free space. We want ppl to feel comfortable sharing what goals they are working on. If commenter feels that a goal someone is working on is too big please provide constructive feedback (no shaming) on how they can improve their goal
Please start a new comment when posting your goal and then ppl reply on to that persons goal. It makes it easier to be able to track it
A new thread will be posted every Monday morning and another new post on Sunday will be “reflections of the past week” where we will discuss the wins, challenges and action plans for Monday. So feel free to comment anytime throughout the week.
Goals can be in any area of your life that you’re wanting to level up. Some examples are health/wellness, career, school, friendships, hobbies etc
Walking five miles a day (said week by mistake) in preparation to walking the Camino De Santiago!
This week I'm having a health relapse and it comes with my period and my ex scrote in town with another woman. I am going to - not isolate myself - not forget to eat - remind myself I have power over my circumnstances, however little, and use it - remind myself I am safe - believe that things will be better, maybe even in a few days. I am not giving up on myself this week.🙌
My internship ends on Friday so I'm gonna plan to leave a good impression on them (putting everything I did together neatly, polishing and refactoring my code) in hopes I'll get hired next year. If not, no big deal, I'm not worried about finding a job after I graduate really, although it would be nice to work at this company 🤞 If anyone has any tips or experience here about getting hired where you've interned I would love some advice!
Make it to the gym 4 days this week instead of the usual 3. Eventually I want to get up to 5 days a week but I'm taking it kinda slow so I don't burn myself out. The rewards from 2 months of gym workouts have been astronomical for me so far.
Make some progress on figuring out the physics for my personal game project in Unity. Physics is brutal!!! By far the most challenging subject I've ever studied. I would like to work on my game at least 2-3 nights a week from here on out though. I think it would feel wonderful to finally finish something that my friends can play and that I can proudly present to the world.
Alright, my goals look a little different this week because of my injury-
Fitness:
-try out swimming at the aquatic center (done!)
-message my ortho for a followup
Career:
-apply for another three jobs (done! but i'm going to aim for three more!)
-duolingo every day so i can add that spanish certification to my resume, finally
Finances:
-budget for the next two months to save as much as possible - this didn't get done last week
Self care:
-schedule one "self care" every day
Have a good week everyone! :)
Ladies- It’s so amazing seeing all of your goals!! Wishing us all a great week!! My goals are below: - send my resume to my mentor for edits - email contact for informational interview - attend my counselling session - finish reflections by Saturday at 10pm - FaceTime chat my aunt/cousins
So last week was tough at work, and I forgot to comment here, and I also didn't stick to my goal. :( Anyways... My main goal this week is to keep reading before bed, since I slipped for a couple of days last week. There was a change in my routine and I entered a light workout program. So my bonus goal is to fully integrate it in my schedule.
Hello ladies! I hope you all are doing well and are able to achieve what you've planned.
My Plan:
1. Keep searching for a job.
2. Try to eat well
3. Meditate
4. Try to get a good sleep and hopefully go to bed earlier
Obstacles:
One very abusive family member came to visit my family and live very close by. So it kinda feels paralysing. But I don't want it to influence me. I'll try to keep my Complex PTSD at bay. I have a therapist session scheduled next Monday. I also have another power tool which I hope to use. It's IFS (internal family systems).
I don't have anything to post right now, but I love seeing the happiness and joy all these commenters get by working towards their goals! It's so inspiring. Thank you all for sharing!😊
This week’s goals: -Purchase a new mattress. I’m open to any suggestions! Your girl is STRUGGLING over here. -Finish & fulfill a custom order for my side hustle -Update inventory on my website for said side hustle -Schedule grooming appointment for my dog
Hi Ladies! I've been a little MIA so thought I would pop in to check in. Hope you don't mind if use this as part check in/part goal declaration? I'm making steady progress forwards with the challenge I mentioned a couple of weeks a go. Prep has taken longer than expected, but I am getting the ish done! I'm very close to launching. Other than that, unfortunately a spanner was thrown in the works of my tenancy and there is an enormous amount of stress and work around that now, causing me to be spread thin AGAIN. I'm trying, I really, am.
Sooo handling/managing things there. Have an amazing rest of your week!
Not making those five miles a day this week. Late husband and my dad passed in August, 5th and 10th, five years apart. On August 5th I was okay since it’s been six years since Jack passed. Yesterday was the one year anniversary of my dad passing. Grief just stops me in my tracks. I’ll get back on track, I always do. First week or two of August just isn’t that easy.
