Hello Queens!!!
It’s Monday and you know what that means….a new week to work on goals!!
It is such a pleasure to have this space and group to hold each other accountable!
For anyone not familiar or needs a refresher below are the ground rules of the thread.
This is a non-judgement free space. We want ppl to feel comfortable sharing what goals they are working on. If commenter feels that a goal someone is working on is too big please provide constructive feedback (no shaming) on how they can improve their goal
Please start a new comment when posting your goal and then ppl reply on to that persons goal. It makes it easier to be able to track it
A new thread will be posted every Monday morning and another new post on Sunday will be “reflections of the past week” where we will discuss the wins, challenges and action plans for Monday. So feel free to comment anytime throughout the week.
Goals can be in any area of your life that you’re wanting to level up. Some examples are health/wellness, career, school, friendships, hobbies etc
I missed last week's thread due to illness and the start of school but I'm back for another week of goals! I'm only doing three so I can really focus on accomplishing them 😊 1. School/Academic: 15 UWorld questions per day This was something I want to accomplish since I tend to avoid practice questions for fear of getting them wrong, as silly as that sounds. However, it's my best learning tool so I need to get through them so I can learn more 😊 2. Health/Fitness: Go for a run at least 3x a week I started running again last week but I want to make sure I make an actual habit of it so I'm setting a goal for this week 😊 3. Sleep: Wake up by 7am every morning I managed to fix my sleep schedule so I go to bed earlier but now I'm struggling to wake up earlier on days where I don't have class or have independent learning. I think if I really focus, I can accomplish this 😊 I'm excited to hear all of y'all's goals! Stay motivated and we got this ladies!
Fitness:
-10k steps a day
-foam roll every day to prevent knee pain
Career:
-apply for another three jobs
-set up shadowing with another department
Finances:
-budget for the next two months to save as much as possible!
Self care:
-schedule one "self care" every day - I have a cute little book full of ideas
Have a good week ladies!
I made it to the gym today and had a solid workout! Big deal lately because I have been struggling with motivation and energy levels. Keeping it simple this week. I'm going to feed my body nourishing homemade foods and go for a walk once a day. I'm also going to plan the gym again for Thursday. Good luck this week 🤍
Goals this week: 1. Keep limiting screens to thirty minutes after I wake up and I’m going to prohibit them 30 minutes earlier at 11pm. 2. Exercise 4 times this week, but I’m including yoga and dance as exercise when last week I only wanted to do cardio/weights. It was harder to motivate myself to do those especially after a long day of work. 3. Mindfulness every day. I’ve been doing just 5 minutes every morning :) Basically my same goals as last week. I do want to use social media less but I think I’ll just try to keep an eye out on myself and be kind about it. In the past I’ve been a bit too harsh and it’s made things worse.
1. Meditate for 10 minutes, at least once. Every day my phone reminds me it's time to meditate, but somehow I wave it away. After doing it, the rest of my day is noticeably better. Self care is hard lol 2. Outline next steps for career goals I'd like to meet by December. I'm applying for a new training course today, which will be helpful in my current position, but even better long term. 3. Schedule time to hang out with my sewing friend. We've both been going through the same difficulty, but at different stages, so it's been tough to meet up. 4. Work to the courage to give my overly dramatic foster dog a bath. She's a bit fragrant. 😅
Hey ladies!! I’m so happy to see everyone’s post here! Great work everyone! These are my goals for the week - say my affirmations to help stay in a confident mindset at my clinical placement - eat a balanced breakfast - be early and take the bus (no Uber unless for emergencies) - take my vitamins - attend job fair - attend finance planning session - complete my resume - reach out to a potential employer for informational interview - finish and send my reflections to my classmate
Hey Queens! I hope you are having a good week. My goal is to meditate each day and to do 10 min yoga before bed. I have downloaded an app for meditation and hope that it will make it a bit easier sometimes. Otherwise, keep trying to find work and surviving my scrotes neighbours. Kinda like when you are going through hell you gotta keep on going
