Looks like being single is becoming a tendency and I quite like it! This choice comes with specific challenges, though. What do you think about this?
I think the main challenge is money. The financial burden is harsher on single people. On the other hand, the part about taking care of your own death planning for when the time comes is very interesting and invites us to view death in a different (possibly more positive) way.
I really like the lady in the beginning of the video talking about how she still wants a partner, but her freedom is a more important need. That's a leveled up, HVW right there. And the fact that she inspires her friend to be happy as a solo woman is increadible!
This is the result of men‘s selfishness and stupidity.
We need to start with tax breaks for single women w/o children. I'm tired of the IRS punishing me bc I don't have kids. They think we have all this extra disposable income just sitting around when we still have student loan debt, medical bills, life events like unemployment etc. I think we need a break bc we don't have kids in public schools and we don't have access to social benefits like EBT & SNAP. Either give us some money back or let us have access to food benefits too. Single men still make more $ than single women. Let them pick up the slack.
Society needs a reformation to accommodate better for single people. Traditionally, yes people got married. However, men ruined that so now it’s increasingly difficult to be single in a world designed for couples.
In fairness women tend to outlive men and are far more likely to be left by their partners if they become sick than the other way around, so many of these problems are ones that even women who've been married until their partner's deaths will have to face.
I like the random parade that showed up behind the reporter
I think it sucks. It's a symptom of a profoundly sick society. The causes of which we haven't even begun to address.
