I'd love to hear what other women are doing to stay motivated and work towards your goals.
Specifically the routines that you do day to day that keep you on track. It feels like there is not enough time in the day and I sometimes get lost in distractions (watching stuff I don't even care about).
One of my most fruitful routines is in the evening writing a list of key plans for the next day, and breaking it down to small steps. With a focus on the top 3. Its made my day a lot more productive.
I really miss the day to day motivation from the LevelUpStrategy sub. Would love to hear what you do.
The biggest skill I learned about about establishing positive behaviors and routines is that you need to prepare for the times when you can't or don't follow them. It's easy to give up. Just remember that saying, "The perfect is the enemy of the good." Start over and use what you have learned.
Always be learning is my motto. You should always be actively learning/struggling with/failing at one or five things, because in time you will have mastered those things. If you can't answer the question, "what am I learning this week?" Then you might not be on track.
Every day as soon as I wake up I thank God for my Life, my Lungs and my Legs
I use an app called ShineDay that’s really cute and helps me do daily habits. Mine are: morning pages (an idea from The Artist’s Way - you write nonstop for 3 pages every morning), 7 minute workout (another app), and meditating (I do at least 11 minutes). I also make sure to eat plants and go outside, then I check them off in the app. It’s simple but really helpful.
The key to staying motivated and working towards your goals by building routines; it’s all about learning who you are and what works for you. Are you a list person? If so, invest in post-its, a magnetic white board for your fridge, use note apps or calendar reminders on your phone. Whatever method works for you. The point of list if you’re the type of person who uses them is to put that visual in your brain to keep you focused and on track. Maybe you’re not a list person. In that case, what works for you? Books? Music? Meditation? Invest in a yoga mat, join a book club or get a library card, explore music apps and get a portable speaker or nice headphones. The books and music and yoga mat will give you that inspiration you need daily to keep you motivated and also keep grind you into a routine to help you on your journey. Find out and invest into the methods that work for you.
