Summer is coming up and that means long glorious evenings lost in books, Friday night balcony personal parties with beloved playlists, exploring interesting, maybe hidden places and socially distanced discussions curled up near like-minded ladies and gentlemen with cocktails in hand.
So my lovelies. I have a proposal for you. Aim your deep dives of discovery in the direction of the feminine (lgbtq and POC for extra points)
Fall down the rabbit hole, explore music from singers, look up books, poems, art from people with vulvas and feminine perspectives. Be pleasantly surprised, then amazed, then empowered. Share them with friends, play their music in the background. Praise the books and fall in love with the people behind the art. Make it a summer to remember.
šØDonāt forget:no works from boys/menšØ
As you do this, you will notice the Algorithem trying to steer you towards male voices, having to click next, next, NEXT! till finally a female speaks, youāll start counting how many men are shown in images compared to women EVERYWHERE and when you find feminine works you love, you feel like youāve discovered hidden treasure.

I hate how male dominated media is. It seems to just be able to exist, the default is a man. If thereās a media included in a story, how many times is it just to be a love interest or piece of eye candy? I wouldāve loved growing up to have adventure books starring girls the same way boys had a lot of adventure books. This is the kick I needed to pursue more female-created media
