I don't know how this is news. There's always been a whole lot of illnesses you can contract during sexual contact with a rando (even if you use condoms) that make one night stands a horrible idea health-wise. Any person willing to have a one night stand with you has 100% engaged in risky sexual behaviour with other people recently and is exposing you to every little thing these people had as well. You are not just fucking them, you are fucking everyone else they fucked, too.
