Heartbreaking when I hear about stories like this.

The sad reality is she likely killed her daughter to prevent the father from getting custody after her own death because he’s useless, abusive, pornsick, a pedo —take your pick. That’s how bad today’s men are. Many aren’t safe to be around children let alone be the primary caregiver. I speak from 7 years of experience in family court.

Horrific but not surprising, sadly. We really need a huge overhaul of fixing up western society when it comes to this discussion. Access to early sex education, cheap or free condoms and contraceptives, the plan B pill, abortion, and a huge makeover over the adoption/foster care systems would really help preventing tragedies like this. But on top of that, we need a better system and society overall for struggling mothers; people only want to praise the mother who are stuck in a bad marriage and tries her best to make it work despite it all, but those same people refuse to help out the unwed mothers, the teenager who got raped and is now pregnant and homeless, etc.

And the babydaddy who abandoned them and drove them that far will get off without any consequences and will live a long, happy life probably impregnating and abandoning a few more women. And yet, society blames the mom who stayed instead of the dad who left.

I find the first comment so cruel. The child was 3. How does that person know the mother wasn't in a better financial and mental situation when she got pregnant or believed the child's father would step up? A lot can happen in 3 years. And even if she wasn't mentally well and didn't actually want the child... with access to contraception and abortions, the foster care system and shaming women for any choice they make being what it is... how does that person know that she even had another choice than keeping and raising the baby?

This is horrible but why decide to take your own babies life as well?

Lots of people were bashing the woman. It was so sad to read. Her landlord was the last person she spoke to. Landlord probably told her that she had to leave the house. May they rest in peace
