Due to a landmark court case this past summer, men not wearing a condom, men lying about wearing a condom, and men who remove a condom without their partner‘s consent can be now be charged with sexual assault in Canada.
It sounds good on paper, but since the case there is no big uptick of men being charged because the Canadian justice system and policing sadly remains incredibly misogynistic and unhelpful when it comes to women’s issues.
The important impact of this case is that a country publicly recognized that if a man lies about condoms or uses sexual coercion, it’s r*pe. That alone will change a lot of women’s lives for the better by informing women they should not tolerate this behaviour from men.

Good. This happened to me before, and the guy gave me a yeast infection. He was already married, and I didn’t know it. But I’d never had a yeast infection before in my life before or since, so he gave me yeast from another vag when he took off the condom. Men are so evil. It is always about them and their dick. They don’t care if they hurt or infect us, and we can’t trust them to wear a condom even when we ask them to and see them out it on in the beginning. Great, but how do you win these court cases... It's not like every sexual interaction is being video recorded. How do you get past the he said/she said?

I had a guy attempt to do this to me in college 😡 I happened to look at the right moment and caught him about to pull the condom off. He stopped when he saw me looking, and I should've just kicked him in the face and left but we continued our brief, deeply unsatisfying encounter lol.
