This is painfully true. I was briefly in a relationship where the dude passively started to push the idea that 50/50 is the best, I need to work for my own money which is fine but he expects a clean house, dinner and raise the children. Something felt wrong and I was happy that it ended before the relationship became official. He only paid for a few dates because he thought he would get sex in return and then the gifts stopped. Oh well it's better to dodge a bullet than wishing you dodged it.
