@Stellata It may be more common than you'd think. Just scrolling through facebook today I saw a video about how I do daughter's swimday vs. her dad (the mom gently guiding the toddler child in the water vs. the dad repeatedly dunking her unhappy face in the water...).
I don't see the fawning over male incompetence a lot in my conversations because I don't generally associate with people who do. But I've seen a lot of photos/videos that do, and women comment saying they can relate. There's a popular "cute" comic about a couple, and there's one where the boyfriend makes "lunch" which is terrible something like chips and tictacs and the gf is all touched... 🤢 That's just an example, but I've seen a lot of similar ones.
