What a joke - but at least the good news is that this may now provide legal precedence and consideration for other important cases around the world.

What I AM interested is making sure that women's spaces, sports and privacy and safety are maintained as a RIGHT.

Personally i will respect their pronouns BUT ONLY IF THEY RESPECT MY RIGHTS, SPACE, AND BIOLOGICAL TRUTH.
The atmosphere in the UK is very strange right now. I honestly expected at least half of the population to agree that this ruling is correct, obvious, and shouldn't be newsworthy. But everyone seems to strongly disagree. A lot of big protests are planned. And of course, men are using it as an excuse to hurl abuse at women who support the ruling. Telling them to kill themselves, theatening to 'punch terfs', etc. Obviously other women are doing this too, but it's scarier coming from men. Another reminder that men who claim to be liberal or feminist ain't shit.
I wish Canada would come to their senses and do the same!

Happy to see, OP! But I am also just stunned that we have reached this point. Every time I see a man scream or say, "I'm a woman!" I just want to hurl.
There have been so many times in my life where I was dealing with period pain, or explaining how men treat women on a mass scale, or explaining how I need to be careful of my surroundings basically at all times, on and on, and when I could see that whoever I was talking to didn't get it and it me want to scream, "I am a woman!".... I could not scream that. I could not use that almost in any of those instances, ever, in my 39 years of being an actual woman. I couldn't use it at work, with friends, not with family... We have always had to dumb down our womanhood in front of people and we are not allowed to talk about it let alone force it onto other people that we are different and we experience everything differently.
So if women don't even get to scream about being a woman and the things we endure or how we go through life in a world built for men and men only..... These men shouldn't get that right before we even do.
They want to totally erase us and our actual REAL experiences of being REAL women. I care about the spaces, sure, but these idiots think they should have more rights than we have ever had.
Nobody would put up with me screaming "I'M A WOMAN" when I get groped in a crowd or have cramps so badly I can hardly work. F these trannies. Truly. Men have taken a lot from us over centuries.... they don't get to play pretend that they are the same as us and can relate to the burdens they have all caused us to carry close to our chests. It's not just makeup and a skirt. Try a lifetime of being the second sex and then get back to me about what you wanna be "called."
