In the spirit of my last post about the surge I saw radical feminism experienced, I'm glad to stumble these two posts in the twoX sub-reddit : https://www.reddit.com/r/TwoXChromosomes/comments/vs8zp0/liberal_feminism_has_failed_us_now_what/
These two posts were clearly received positively and women there engaged with them critically.
So yes, there is a growing disdain for liberal feminism and more women are getting into radical feminism as it seriously addresses issues encountered by women within a patriarchal society.
Do you think we should make similar posts on TwoX and r/feminism to let more women know that liberal feminism isn't only what feminism has to offer ?
Yeah, I lurk on there occasionally (and a few other subs). I obviously don't have an account anymore but I still get value from a few subs and I'm so happy to see so many XX ladies waking the fuck up. Maybe FDS leaving and also just seeing the trends in society and countries, plus the worsen burden on women the pandemic had, finally has shown many the light. Libfem is a failure and serves men. Radfem is the only thing that puts women FIRST and actually addresses the issues. Plus, men are allowed on the XX sub. And not just allowed on, some of them are mods! How does that make sense? It's literally called TWO X CHROMOSOMES. When you let men run rampant they just control the narrative and reply to every post with "not all men" or "as a man....". We don't care, pipe down and be silent for once. Let women speak and be heard. Let us talk amongst ourselves.
At least now some of them are seeing the value in a women-only space. Too bad they didn't want to stick up for FDS when it was there.
I think it was a matter of time. Men have been teaching each other how to abuse women for over a decade now. Red pill, MGTOW, etc.
It was obvious we were going to recruit women to fight that.
I found two x after being banned from r/feminism. And why did I get banned? Because I commented on another person post that men should pay for dates. The mod commented under my comment "enough of this FDS bullshit" and Perma banned me. And then it hit me. I realized that r/feminism is run by men. Not just because of my own banning. But I ended up speaking to several women who were also banned for making benign comments like mine. The common denominator being that our comments didn't benefit men. Me saying that men should pay for dates does not benefit men. Another women got banned because she said that men get praised for doing things one time, that women do every day, such as cooking. She banned for that! And why? Because it doesn't benefit men. So, we started a new subreddit called r/herspace, that will absolutely stay women only. We should go join r/herspace to support female only spaces.
Personally I don't think posting on TwoX is such a bad idea. You can get hundreds of thousands of views if your post takes off. And radical feminist takes (although generally not labelled as such) do seem to be accepted by more women there now, I agree.
I was enjoying the first one until they started pussy popping for the trwanzwomen. How you can be radical feminist or want it reinstated as the main branch of feminism, yet still want to defend men who think they know so much about women that they claim to be one and "do so" by engaging in sexist stereotypes. I'm going to need someone to show me where Andrea Dawkins said that men in dresses are women.
They also complain about it was exclusive (and i guess they meant to men and men who pranced around in dresses) but fails to acknowledge that it's exclusivity was what got them so far. How the fuck is a movement going to make demands when they are making demands for 3 different groups of people with 10 different subgroups in each that demands seperate and COMPETING requests (twanzwomen being acknowledged as women takes away women's rights to single sex based spaces).
This, putting men's feelings above women liberation and safety, is exactly what liberal feminism is. If these women don't do some deep introspection they will recreate liberal feminism by giving this new wave of radical another lobotomy 🙄. This is why we are getting nowhere and we will continue to lose more rights.
I would also like to see a post here (if there's not one already) explaining the differences between the spectrum. For example, what beliefs are more libfem and what ones are more radfem? I have followed and identified with FDS values for a long time but never realized there was even a term or identity to my values.
I have a Reddit account still, mostly for skincareaddiction, but I also comment some in AgeGap (about relationships with an age gap), because my relationship could technically be counted as one, and once in a while I like to insert a little FDS when some younger misguided woman seems like she needs it and may be open to it. It’s about as much of a cesspool of pedos as you’d imagine, but over the last 6 months or so I’ve noticed more 18-25 year old women on there giving advice and using terms which makes me think they may have had FDS exposure. Gives me a little hope.
I'm not on reddit anymore, but last I remember 2x was run by males. Is that not still the case?
I still have a hard time understanding why FDS isn’t more mainstream. One of the worst things is the faulty thinking of if I pay for my date he won’t expect anything. Ok, well sure if you were a prostitute getting paid for sex, no payment no sex… but that’s not what’s happening. You are going to pay for your half and he will still expect sex. I know the paying for dates thing gets us a lot of hate but really even before FDS I have had boyfriends that always paid for dates, opened doors, and other things like that. It was just how they were raised. I know there has to be guys like that, so it would also be great to see those guys speak up more.
I want to say good on them but then I remember how that subreddit allowed males in dresses to moderate and kicked out any woman with an inkling of gender critical thought. This is probably just a case of cognitive dissonance occurring.
