My ex started to act like an a$$hole around the 1.5 year mark of our relationship, because he obviously thought he can do better. So I had to break up with him (he was too much of a coward). My 10y younger friend (very handsome, very fit) from my sports club immediately tried to date me. And he was by far not the only one (I declined because I didn't want to date men anymore.)

6 months later my ex tried to crawl back to me. I blocked him. They are always overestimating their market value. Always.

It's always this way. I've never heard of an open marriage that actually worked for very long. And the ones that say theirs works, I'm pretty sure they're just defending their terrible choices to the death lol.

It's funny how things come around. In the 70s, there were swingers. (I'm sure swingers were only ever a minority but it was a large enough minority that people were talking about swinging and a number of books and films have been written about it). Then in the 80s, it seemed to die out. Now it seems to be back again but it's been repackaged as "ethical non-mongamy" or "polyamory". It's the exact same thing though. It didn't work in the 70s so why do some people think it's going to work now?!

I've seen this happen several times as a former military gal. The ugliest guy I've ever met pulled this on his average attractive wife.
