Apparently there has been gossip that the Obamas reached out to Democrat donors to see if they would support her as a candidate. Saw an interview with Megyn Kelly who thinks that Biden may "show his age" again at some point in the near future and take a nosedive in the polls, at which point Michelle Obama will swoop in and announce that she's running.
Do you think she would have a chance at winning the primary against Biden and the presidency against Trump? Do you think she's a good choice for president?
She'd be excellent, but sadly, I think America is currently too racist and sexist to ever consider a black woman for the job. Would be great though.
I think she'd be a strong leader, but I don't think she should waste her time running this country. Her quality of life would decline pretty quickly.
She was married to a powerful man. That doesn't make her qualified to be president. She's not qualified. I also think it would send the message, "All you have to do is marry a man and then you too can be powerful."
It would be wonderful to have a black woman president though. She should aim for Senator or Congresswoman first maybe.
At least she sucks less than married-to-a-rapist, stand-by-your-rapist-husband, allows-men-to-publicly-humiliate-her Hillary.
This kind of talk pops up every now and then, but nothing ever really happens - I think Biden will remain the nominee, but I do wish someone younger and more resilient would step up. It most likely won't happen - and I think he'll lose to Trump, which means that the latter will attack Obamacare again and I will lose my insurance.
Even if she wanted to run, Joe Biden isn't going to roll over for her. I could see her replacing Kamala, who's a complete embarrassment. That would fast track her if Biden somehow wins. He's not making it through a second term, based on what we're seeing.
On the other side, Kari Lake has a bright future, as does Kristi Noem.
Interesting tidbit about Barack Obama. While he was a rising star after his performance at the 2004 DNC, his first political victory is ensured when his opponent, Jack Ryan, resigns over sex club allegations. His then wife, Jeri Ryan of Star Trek fame, had claimed he tried to coerce her into having sex in front of other people/swinging, etc. Had Ryan beaten Obama as many expected, he may or may not ever have become President.
Ofcourse she's qualified. She just needs rich donors. it depends on whether rich donors would support her.
"Do you think she would have a chance at winning the primary against Biden and the presidency against Trump?"
No and no, at least not in 2024. Biden and Trump are too popular in the U.S. right now.
"Do you think she's a good choice for president?"
I don't know. I have literally no opinion on this.
