The way The Patriarchy divides women are numerous and intricate. When we fight among each other we can't properly fight them. This case is a good example. People with no knowledge of DARVO or internalized misogyny will support Depp. Simply because the media is run by money. It's systematic brainwashing. 99% of the discourse were pro The Wife Beater. That does not necessarily mean they are bad people. The biggest accounts are a lot on social media and will be brainwashed or straight out scared. Attacking them for being pro Depp is exactly what misogynistic men want. To keep us fighting among each other. It's a lack of knowledge and critical thinking. Using slurs and attacking other women is what they want. Accept that they lack knowledge and take everything they say with a grain of salt. This excludes proper discussion of course. Challenging statements and having a discussion is not the same as calling someone a slur and attacking them. We need to be strategic and packed with knowledge and ethics to win this fight. Women have to be better than men to be heard and this will continue until The Patriarchy has been dismantled.
