this post just tells me she should not have a kid with this man… he seems manipulative and not a good fit at all to be her partner in life. it sounds to me like she would be happier single and childfree. I say this as a woman who wants to marry and have kids, no woman should feel like they have to commit to having a baby ever.

My partner would be a great dad lmao. Statistics say otherwise. 41% chance he'll kill you. 59% chance he'll abandon you. Men commit to sons, not daughters, you better make sure that baby isn't born the wrong sex.
"Nobody is more single than a new dad"
She knows there's nothing but a shitstorm in her future.
So quitting Reddit is not going so well? I get it. It's highly addicting. Reading this stuff day in and day out will affect your mood. We are not biologically wired to handle others suffering 24/7. It can cause both depression and anxiety.
The whole of society needs to improve, globally. All women need support and protection from at all stages of life. Not just when she's at breaking point.
Ugh! The only time she feels vaugley calm about motherhood is when SHE LOOKS AHEAD AND SEES HER AND HER PARTNER HAVE BROKEN UP Just leave him now sis, don't try to stay w him. And then give a long hard think if you want to be tied to him for life through a child. You already know you don't want to be with him- you really want to be permanently tied to him through a child??? I say escape this babytrap hell
Having a baby when you're past 35 isn't going to become easier if you keep fucking around with spoiled geriatric sperm, but I'm pretty sure her amazing doctor didn't tell her that. Women need to stop believing this bs that once you hit 35 your dreams of becoming a mother are nearly over. Unless your genetics are trash and the sperm you're using is garbage I don't see why a 37 year old who had a bomb ass income (I assume) is being told to worry.
Whenever I see posts like this I wonder where the woman's support network is. Does she not have a good relationship with her family? Does she not have any friends because she, like she says, had a very high powered career which took up a bunch of her time? Religious centers used to be a lot bigger in America and there were ladies' groups and the like where women could just talk about their problems. Those sorts of things don't exist as much anymore and so women turn to the internet. But what can the internet tell her? To leave (which she seems to know)?
If she chooses to have that baby she's going to be stuck with her partner for life.
