This is something that in most cases is a deal-breaker for me. I just find hair to be the most attractive feature on a man. I think that’s why I consider most older men (over 35) unattractive. I’ve seen men in their 50s+ with a full head of thick, gray hair and I’ve thought “That is a really attractive man.” I see all these 40+ men with bald heads and beards thinking they’re a catch just because they spend 4 hours a day in the gym and have muscles…. They don’t do anything for me. Hair is just my thing I guess.
Interesting. I always thought that typically didn’t start until mid l-thirties. I wonder if this frequent
pre-thirties balding is new or if I just didn’t notice it. I do know I have a much easier time finding men in their early thirties with all their hair. After 35 it’s really rare. My brother is in his 50s with no receding hairline, so it is possible.
My ex's hairline started receding pretty severely in his 20s, so did my male cousins'. My bf is 30 and his brothers are mid 30s, they all have great hair and even their late 60s dad still has a decent hairline for his age. Their stepdad is mid 50s with very nice hair, my dad is the same age and is half bald already. It really depends on family genetics. They're all the same ethnicity, one that is near the top of this list, so it's really a 50:50 chance, it seems.
Ohhh. I don't think I really knew that. It's on them to fix their issue any which way. I remember watching this guy who used social media to document his journey re-growing his hair. "If he wanted to, he would."
Male pattern baldness is such a universal thing that I do wonder whether the "lower" incidence of baldness in developing / "third world" countries is due to the fact that it's under-reported / harder to track, especially in rural areas. When half of the world has 30-40% of men going bald then it's probably not exclusive to only handful of countries. There surely is some genetic component that makes it more or less prevalent in certain ethnicities but overall there is always that very real chance of a man losing his hair around mid to late 30s.
Yeah I'm not discounting the possibility of baldness being more/less common when comparing two countries directly, but overall it seems pretty even. It also highly depends on what your "sample size" is, like a city with lots of young college students will obviously have fewer bald men than areas where you see more middle-aged parents out and about. Beauty standards also matter, there's definitely cities where the average person is much more vain and spends more on looking better so they might have had treatments done, other places are more relaxed. As soon as one hits 30 themselves, one might also notice more men in that age range as opposed to the ages of 18-25. Sorry to seem so "pedantic" here but the way statistics are often misrepresented/misinterpreted is one of my pet peeves as a science lover haha.
Bald men are gross lol. I can deal with them being short, chubby, or small eggplant emoji size but being bald or having a receding hairline is a dealbreaker. Need someone with thick luscious hair fr.
Yet they claim they age like wine, there is nothing charming about a meat cap.

A win for MOC. If only men from my culture were dateable...
Less likely to be bald, but more likely to be abusive POS.
Looks to me that they only surveyed the first world. There are plenty of baldies in the Eastern Bloc, too, I can attest to that 😀

Since people are having children later in life, men with premature balding pattern will be bred out soon
Cries in German
Um, where is Israel?
In my personal experience, most of the 30-something Israeli men I've met are completely bald.
