Hey everyone,
I hope this is okay despite not being strictly dating related but there are so many fit and healthy ladies here that I just want to try my luck.
I am working on leveling up my breakfast at the moment (which is boring, unsatisfying and often a little unhealthy right now) and got a blender because I love smoothies but I am sooo uncreative and the smoothies I end up with are either tasty sugar bombs (the banana based ones), are not filling enough so I get hungry an hour after drinking them (happened with all "green" smoothies I tried) or were just... not that great. I know there are thousands of recipes out there, but I can't try them all myself so I would love to hear some recommendations or recipes you tried and loved!
My criteria:
- filling enough to let me survive until lunch without starving, but not a calorie or sugar bomb
- decent nutritional value regarding fiber, protein, vitamins etc.
- no milk or plant-based milk alternatives as ingredients (yoghurt, coconut milk, juice, water, tea etc. are fine)
- the result is not too sour (I can't really stand that in the morning) or super-sweet
- can either be prepared in advance (like pre-cutting and freezing everything in bags and just tossing them in the blender in the morning) or has a very short prep time
I don't know if this fits in with a "smoothie" category, but I make this hidden veggie chocolate pudding I really like. And it's SO filling, I could eat it for a meal and I am full for hours. Hear me out, it sounds weird and healthy, but the chocolate masks the health and if it's too dark a chocolate, I found just a small dollop of bailies makes it sweeter and makes it taste SO indulgent.
It's as follows: one boiled and mashed up sweet potato, one avocado, two tablespoons cocoa powder, half a cup of melted dark chocolate, two tablespoons maple syrup, mix it all up in a blender.
You should be left with a mousse like consistency, sweeten it up with more maple if you're not such a fan of dark chocolate, but this will make it less healthy.
