Hi ladies!
l started using dumbbells for strength training few months back and have been really enjoying the experience and the benefits.
However, I seem to not understand where I'm failing when it comes to bicep curls. I do not have a partner and do not prefer going out to public gyms for various reasons.
I still wish to know if exercises that target biceps are still necessary if I'm already training triceps and shoulders ? I'll be happy to skip biceps as I'm getting pain in my elbows during curls, if it doesn't affect my goal which is strength.
If bicep training is still necessary, then which alternative exercises do you all recommend that target biceps and are comparatively easier to get done at home.
If you're training triceps in isolation then yes, you do also need to train biceps to avoid imbalances.
You don't say what weight you're using or how many sets/reps, which would be helpful also.
But I agree with @Asit123 in that soft tissues take longer to adapt than muscle tissue, which could be causing issues. It could also be your form, but without seeing it it's impossible to say.
