I first watched this movie when it first came put and honestly there's so many little hidden gems. Elaine, Elaine were do I even start with her. Some of the things she does are just straight up moral questionable. But the scenes in the cabin with that man saying how the women he likes are attractive but not bright. The bright ones are homely. It just drives home how looks matter more than anything to men. And I felt sorry for him the first watch but second time I picked up on it. I still have mixed feelings about Elaine if she was a pickme or on some Queen shit. She gave no fucks about these mens or their feelings. Hated how she did to Trish though.

I watched it with my mom not knowing anything about it 🤪
But yeah, it's a very libfem movie. I was gonna make a post on it back when I saw it too. In the movie she literally says that seggs is the "power" we women have over men and the we can use "seggs magic" as a way to control them. Like???? That's textbook SWIW empowering libfem talking points.
I only loved the parts of her tricking men and taking their stuff with no seggs involved LOL
I love this movie!
At first glance, Elaine seems to have command of herself, hence Queen mindset. However, she is so hung up on the love of a man defining her. She comes off as PickMe by throwing herself at men and even stealing her friend's husband. There were parts that made me cringe so much!
For those who haven't seen it, I will not spoil what the viewer learns about Elaine. Where it applies to the broader audience and in FDS is that PickMeism is a learned trait, not the result of trauma.
Elaine had so many amazing talents. Probably the only thing she accomplished was keeping her own apartment. The bigger picture She needed to focus on herself and making herself happy, not rely on the men who she became so obsessed with to do it for her. Women's individual identities are not contingent upon having a man.
The main character has bpd. It's honestly not a happy movie she's isolated and is a pick me. Especially when she prayed to the goddess desperately for a beautiful man.
I've been the favorite person of women like her before and they're usually the victim type who use and dispose of moids without mercy to gratify their needs.
