For those who have watched Singles Inferno 2, what are your takes on these two women, who were the most popular on the island? And most importantly – what can we learn from them?
For me specifically, I want to understand why Soeun was able to attract only the most kind and genuine (likely) HVMs whereas Seulki, while being the number 1 girl on the show, attracted a whole variety of trash men, from obsessive LVMs (Dongwoo) to fuckbois (Jinyoung) to total simps (Jungwoo).
I just finished it as I love Korean shows. Soeun is elegant and kind, she never pursued anyone or even gave her heart to anyone. She was just getting to know them and understand what she is looking for. She is also the oldest on the show and the most mature out of all. I found her the most gorgeous natural beauty from all the women.
Seulki fits the Korean little girl pretty look, she is full of cosmetic surgeries as I believe her dad is a surgeon. She also went with anyone who liked her and talked to all of them .. she seemed confused then the guy she liked the most was the guy who was playing games with everyone. I also think she is a pick me as she made some flirting comments as if she was pursuing. All 3 were after her because it became a competition even the idiot Dr who she clearly rejected. I think they made her feel uncomfortable many times and they won’t let her go. In my opinion men fight over women when there are more interested in her so she is the popular one. I felt sorry for the other women … it was tough to watch.
I think Seul-ki is actually a queen. The way she handled that doctor is so well done, I couldn't have done it better myself. I was actually quite worried that she's gonna be swooned away by his look and his profession, but she stood her ground, did not let him cross her boundary and was very straight forward about her feeling. Despite her only being 25, I can say that she handled that better than many women at their 30 (including me). I think the fact that all the guys she attracts are not viable options doesn't say anything about her.
Now, comparing her to Seo-eun, I don't think Seo-eun is a pickme by any means, but I think she's falling in love a bit too fast with Yoong-jae. She did try to date Han-bin on the second day but she seemed to have made up her mind, so the date between them seem very lackluster. And she did say this to Yoong-jae when she came back from the date (she said she left her heart in Inferno - that's basically confessing to him that she likes him). When Nadine picked Yoong-jae to go to Paradise with her, when she stayed in Inferno, she actually wore Yoong-jae's shirt, as if like a statement that they are already together. And then in their second time to go to Paradise, she was also like, "oh the girls said I look very happy when I'm with you" while he just nodded and gave her thumbs up?? Their relationship looks very awkward to me and I honestly don't think he's an HVM at all.
I agree that Han Bin appeared high value but I question whether Yoon jae was…I just was really turned off by the way he was with Soe but also Soe desperate pick memes absolutely killlleeeedddd me. So much second hand embarrassment. What I also found a little annoying was how in this season there seemed to be some kind of push for the women to approach the men? Fat lot of good it did them. The only women who left coupled were with men who approached them. One of the many thing I like about Asian society or any societies that have an important of a man being a gentlemen is that men are proactive.
Also I was completely mystified as to why Seulki and Soeun were the favourites. I probably adhere to western beauty standards but for me Se-jeong was outstanding. Unfortunately the longer she stayed on the island and missed out on paradise the more her personality seemed to deflate but that could be the editing too. But yeah I'm really not sure, I know they kept saying Soeun is quite bubbly...but yes I really don't get it personally,
