I'm currently playing Persona 5 and it's a great game in every aspect... Except in one: it's too fucking perverted.
Seriously, what's up with all the scenes regarding Makoto and Ann? They're super creepy and unnecessary! I've heard of a game called 13 Centinels: Aegis Rim, or something like that. It's by the same company. Does it has any kind of fanservice? If it does, could someone recommend me any other game, please?
I haven't played 13 Sentinels but I think the characters are piloting the mechs without clothes...? I've heard the story is amazing though.
Persona 3 has way less fanservice (though it's still there, bikini section and hotsprings, and a LVM creep character that does actually grow up) and the Portable version has a female protagonist option!
Also, while way more dated, the Persona 2 games have a majority-adult cast.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses & Three Hopes are similar, but in a fantasy school setting.
Mass Effect series & Dragon Age series - not jrpg or school setting, but scifi and fantasy rpgs respectively. They have some creepy male gaze depending on the game (Dragon Age is vastly more female and LGB-friendly however) but it balances out with how great the characters are written imho.
If you like horror rpgs or can handle some sketchy topics Monark might interest you? It was made by ex-Persona devs.
Unfortunately I think most games have some level of fanservice because the majority of game devs are men. I was thinking the Final Fantasy VII Remake would be good to mention too, but then it even has its male gaze sections...
Yeah it's sad i know exactly what parts of each games you're referring to. Persona 5 had a lot of cringe moments w the female cast fanservice,... Idk other social dating sim type games out there with huge budgets like P5 and vanillaware games. The other ones that come to mind are really laidback, chilled out can get boring and not as story-captivating like animal crossing, stardew valley has dating/sim aspect to it.
If you mean anime games thats very hard to come across, they are all so bad for fanservice! If not anime, then I agree that dragon age (especially inquisition) is very female friendly, most fans of dragon age are women for a reason! Maybe consider the final fantasy games, the old ones are very nostalgic and since graphics were not too advanced yet they don't tend to sexualize female characters too much. Final fantasy 7-9 are quite cheap on steam. Persona 4 may be an option too, ive not played it though.
