Why do men think we are the more "obsessive" gender? They say we are more obsessed about pretty much everything (love, romance, beauty, celebrities and so on).
I don't understand why they believe that. I think men are the more "obsessive" gender. They have hobbies like: anime, manga, comics, video games, bodybuilding, and then they make it their whole personality.
Do you remember the "women have no hobbies" meme from last year? I think guys only believe that because compared to them we are not overly obsessive about our hobbies. If we were obsessive about our hobbies they would make fun of us.
They make fun of women for being obsessed with celebrities, but it's okay for them to be obsessed with guys like "Tom Brady", "Henry Cavill" or "Andrew Tate". Isn't that a double standard?
Men like to think that they are not obsessed with romance and love, but at the same time they are the ones who cry over not getting any affection from women. Men are more likely to secretly obsess over female celebrities and female friends. Women are more at risk of being stalked by men. I think "Limerence" is actually more common in men than women (or maybe it's 50/50).
I really don't understand why so many guys believe women are "obsessive" and "emotional". I think we are actually more balanced than them.
Males literally invented widespread religions to subjugate women and force women to stay with males. It seems like they've been obsessive since the dawn of man.
How many male stalkers are there vs female stalkers? Just saying.
When men talk about their favorite sports teams they say "we". As in "I think we're gonna go all the way this year" or "we really rallied to win in the last quarter". Sir, you are not a professional athlete. You do not play for the Red Sox. Your obsession with this team is blurring reality and fantasy in your mind, and you need help.
We're obsessed with love? 🤣 Men are the ones who are now saying they are all going to commit suicide because more and more women have given up on men altogether. It looks like the women who have handed in their card and dropping out of the race completely are tired of being made fun of for being obsessive over love, relationships, and a chance at getting married.
My reaction upon reading the title....HA! 😄
Anger, rage, jealousy, and competitiveness aren't seen as emotions to men. Women tend to cry more often, and that's what is emotional to them. Porn, picking up random women, and video games don't count as an obsessions either even though men spend more time on that kind of stuff than most women spend on their hobbies. Men are FAR more emotional and obsessive than women are, and the crime rates and statistics of men in prison have proven that for centuries. What's more emotional than hauling off and raping and murdering women? More emotional than stalking? More emotional than raping to assert your power and control over someone else? More emotional than being a gang member, because you had no strong father figure and now need your "homies" to comfort you? Who loses their tempers more than men? Everything they say about us is a projection of theirs.
Wow, there was a meme about women not having any hobbies? It's always been the men who seem to lack them in my experience!
I couldn't care less about what men think of me and my passions, and I remember that 99% of men's complaints about women are projection.
Maybe they're just jealous that WE don't obsess over THEM (like they do over us)? Ego-mad (eeek)
Holy crap. I had no idea about that meme. I wanted to make a whole post about this, like how meme culture (just like every other subculture) is dominated by men but I scrapped it. Also about the celebrity obsession: remember that guy who shot up a waffle house to impress Taylor Swift? And Billie eilish's stalker from last year? Men love to make fun of female ARMYs but they have never done insane stuff like them.
Projection
Men are obsessive with their idols, 100%. If Elon Musk or Greg Glassman wants to talk about WWIII or some shit they know nothing about, men will believe everything they say, and this has always been so crazy to me. I listen to and defend my fave celebs and respected experts too, but they aren't gods. None of them are always right/know everything.
And cults... If CrossFit says eat only this brand of whey protein and you can lift 1,000 lbs! They will die on that damn hill.
I think limerence is equally common in men and women, but men are significantly more likely to act on it in a violent way.
