This is just a rant, so bear with me.
I don't know if anybody experienced the same .
I made a post questioning why no TIM ever got his ass handed to him in female prison, and apparently, the admins of ovarit didn't appreciate me suggesting that sometimes answering male violence with violence is legitimate.
I don't understand why retaliation is so taboo among feminists even though anyone who had the time to check historical records will understand that the progress the movement has made is partially due to early feminists rocking the boat a bit too hard when nothing else worked.
My feeling is that policies like this on sites like Ovarit and FDS are less about the mods not supporting self defense or well deserved physical retaliation, but more about them knowing that the site topics overall are toeing the line. They may be strict about the rule because the host/server is ready to pull the plug as soon as the site crosses over into something technically inappropriate and against the policies of the host/server/etc. Even if it's bullshit, we know that these sites exist for a reason - these conversations have become extremely difficult to have on most platforms. The people who don't like these discussions are going to look for anything and everything to try and shut them down.
I feel like they should have given you a warning first before banning but alas, I'm not a mod nor do I know what's happening behind the scenes, but I don't think that they wouldn't be so strict about that without a good reason.
I don't like trans ppl not because they are trans but because they invade our spaces and reduce our rights. Women rights belong to women, not to frankenstein transvestties. I call them frankenstein because they chop off their dong for a neo vajayjay and have the vile nerve to call our private parts " Bonus hole" They are crossing the line and deserve to be boycotted.
I got banned from a sub on reddit because I said trans freaks are still biological males and don't deserve to compete in female only competition, the mods said trans women are women but whoever believes that should read the Poem " I'm not a dress"
I'm pretty sure Ovarit's rules mention something about not promoting violence on their site. I think both FDS and Ovarit have a rule against promoting violence in any way, even against guys or trans people. (I've heard of both sites banning people for similar cases, even with direct self-defense)
I read that post on ovarit!
I didn't think what you said was that bad. Like you are talking about prison and even a women's prison can be a violent place. Not as much as a men's prison though.
I wouldn't think what you wrote would constitute a ban from the site. But like others have said you can't discuss violence. But it seems that you can discuss male violence against women. But for some reason , it's not the other way around.
Patriarchy as a system is about control and dominance. Men seek these things over other men because they are afraid of what other men could do to them - if those other men had the contorl and power. This results in heirarchys rather than equality, competition rather than cooperation, and violence rather than peaceful communication. None of those are inevitable, but it is the way humanity has panned out.
Promoting feminism cannot be about violence and one-upmanship because that's just playing the patriarchy game. You're trying to put women on top, but not fix the system that puts one person on top of the other and calls it natural.
I disagree that suffragettes won rights by being violent and blowing up post boxes and the like. They stopped doing that for the War efforts, IIRC. I rather think we gained rights because so many men had been killed off that society literally needed us to function
