That was my first thought as well. They're trying not to get taken down for "hate speech", like the GenderCritical subreddit was. I imagine it's hard enough maintaining a radfem online community so they're not taking any unnecessary risks. I think it's reasonable to draw the line at encouraging physical violence.

I'm talking about the predators who pretend to have gender dysphoria in order to be moved out male prison and access female prison, where they'll rape and abuse the women there.

Predators or not they are biological males and need to go away.

I know they do, but at the same times this doesn't change the cold harsh reality that sometimes life wouldn't leave you any other option. I wish matters were different, but they're not.

Yeah, being able to defend yourself from harm can be a life saver. Ovarit was a bit less clear about what I heard with self defense, and I don't have as many details on the specific case(s), but with FDS, I remember hearing that back when the subreddit was still active(I heard it was like right before they started to move away from Reddit?), someone mentioned that they got banned from the FDS subreddit for telling someone to have a weapon with them for self defense against home invasions or scary creeps. From what I heard, it was because FDS was supposedly trying to avoid getting removed from Reddit that time, but yeah, the fact that it was a bit different and still caused a ban does make me think that FDS would be even more likely to ban for a similar situation like that. (Also, I tried to put a like on one of your comments, but it seems to add it but then not show up as being there? I think its bugging out for me on there for some reason, it happens to me when I try to like some posts or comments I find)

Of course , male violence against women is usually driven by entitlement and a desire for ownership, while women's violence against men is usually defensive not offensive.

In northern Syria women took arms and fought barbaric terrorists. Can you tell these women that they are trying to put themselves on top or that they shouldn't integrate violence into their fight for justice ? Knowing the circumstances that led them to choose violence.

Retaliation isn't always about domination, it only depends on whether your violence is offensive or defensive.

I'm not going to judge any woman for her choices in an awful situation, and I don't know why you are extrapolating that far. I'd expect that kind of argument from Reddit.

I was trying to briefly showcase what the system of patriarchy is, which is what Radical Feminism is about: we like to explore the roots of the problem after all. To me, the choice of violence above that of cooperation is fundamentally linked with what patriarchy is.

Do I think that a woman in Syria who has to deal with the system and the choices of other people has the luxury of pontificating this way? Fuck no. She's going to do what she needs to.
