I understand diversifying your worldview and looking at all factors but I can't help but think these example are being presented as the average experience when we KNOW that that 90% of OF workers do not make much.
90% or so of OF workers are STRUGGLING. They don't have it easy at all, and they have no financial security. Because they didn't make bank like they thought they would, they often dive deeper into sexwork, such as taking on escourting and sugaring.
That's one of the traps of sexwork. You think you can make a lot by doing a little, then you before you know it you go through desperate acts just to make rent.
The top 1% of SW that make the most money, do it on their terms, with their boundaries and can stop any time they want....do you notice how they're usually educated, from first world countries, speak english, have other options. It's the privileged people defending an industry that will never know how forced and trapped the average SW makes.
Doing sexwork isn't some Cinderella story that will make you have everything you ever wanted. That's the tempting thought these articles make you think.
Crap, they're almost pimps or mlm scams that want you to believe you can have everything they have. I feel like these people want to tie a bow on SW and never look at it's dark side.

It killed me. I told her that was poverty wages and she and a BUNCH of other women/men called me a whorephobic, sex negative, prudish, and classist bc apparently $1,000 a month IS a lot of money. They’d have made more AND saved their dignity by working at McDonalds. At this point, I see these people as clowns. You can’t save em all and I don’t really care too. I feel kinda bad that they’re so poor they think an extra grand a month is “life changing” cash, especially when they could make more working part-time at McDonalds, but they also know there are better jobs. You CHOOSE to sign up for Only Fans, so unless it’s the 18-20 year olds, I have zero sympathy for the ppl ruining their lives for pennies on the dollar.

You’re providing the government and scrotes plenty of juicy pictures and videos to blackmail you with later when you try to find a good job or husband. Any guy can take screenshots of your body, and send them to anyone. This will never go away. I don’t know how or why sending nudes ever became a thing, but it’s insane. I’d never take a picture of my nude body EVER. EVER. Women used to get paid $500K to do Playboy and even then you were considered low class for doing that.
