Really sad that critical thinking was thrown out the window. People go above and beyond, screaming how terrible gender norms are but still don't realize that "non-binary" stuff just puts people in more boxes and validates gender norms. "I'm non-binary cause I'm a female who wears men's clothing and cuts her hair short". No, you're a woman with short hair who wears men's clothes. A tomboy is still a woman, it's really that simple.

I hate that the word "tomboy" has become so rare. It's been so long since I heard a woman or a girl be called that. Now if a girl deviates from gender norms, it's too many people speculating that she must be trans (and/or gay), it can't just be that she likes practical clothes, short hair and no makeup.

I agree on most of this but the polarizing of society is dangerous. Us vs them never solves the problem. Knowledge is the way to go and not more hate. Kindness is a method but knowledge is the most important part. Knowledge is how people wake the fuck up.

I still support, follow and admire Tindertranslator, Clementine Ford and the Feminist Barrister even though we disagree on the trans issue. Fighting harmful gender ideology is important but it's not the only important fight. Sometimes you gotta lose a battle to win a war and allies are essential.

I have a take on your last sentence that I've drafted into a post- basically how the division is curated to make people easier to sell the issues back to people.

My proposal isn't to focus on trying to continue marketing divisive issues, but to steer attention away from 'unity marketing' and refocus on philosophical principles that will naturally rally people and further debate- not a rehash of popular sound byte influencer debates, but political policy debates

I'm not a conservative. In fact, I hate their ideology and a lot of their kind. I believe in free Healthcare, welfare, paid maternity leave, period leave, native American reparations, taxing the rich/IRS going after them, BLM, free abortion, sex Ed in schools, idc if LGB people marrying, Trump should be imprisoned, Qanon is a hoax, I've taken the covid vaxx, slash military spending, rent control needs to be federal law, and I also think being trans isn't a real thing. How am I a conservative?

I don't hate trans people. I don't care if they want to change their gender and have no reason to think most of them aren't being earnest. I do have an issue with the following: - Trans women in women's sport because men (and those who went through male puberty) have huge athletic advantages over women (more muscle mass, larger lungs, higher oxygen carrying capacity, ~90% more upper body strength, stronger ligaments, etc). Men and womens' sports are separated by gender for a reason. - Trans women using women's scholarships (and other mechanisms in place to support women). I think it is good if they have their own scholarships etc but I don't agree with them being taken away from women because there is still a lot of injustice towards women that these opportunities help women overcome. - Not reporting if someone is trans when reporting crime statistics. Most sexual and violent crimes are committed by men. If trans women are reported as women then this can skew the perception of crimes committed by gender and cause solutions to be formed around data that doesn't tell the whole story. This can lead to a negative impact on women. - Trans women in women's domestic violence shelters. Again, I am for trans people receiving assistance from society but I am not ok with them taking away from women. Women who have been abused by men should not have to be around trans women if they are not comfortable. That is putting trans women above (and in direct opposition to) the needs of vulnerable women. - Words like woman taking on a new meaning because they are not "inclusive". I find this personally very offensive. A lot of women experience really negative situations caused by men (and sometimes other women) because of their gender. Trans women missed that character building part of life and they don't know what it is like to grow up as a woman. To then represent women when they are new to it is very offensive and dismissive of the lived experience of a lot of women. - Trans women in women's prisons. Men and women's prisons are separated for a reason. For a trans woman to go to a women's prison is a way for them to avoid the violence and risk of going to a male prison while having the advantage of being much bigger and stronger than most of the other inmates. This can pose a huge danger to female inmates if the trans woman is violent and there is a risk of them impregnating female inmates. Additionally sex is not allowed in prison because prison is meant to be a punishment. On my last point, I don't think that trans women should necessarily have to go to men's prison, or more broadly be forced into men's change rooms etc. I recognise that they are a vulnerable part of society at increased risk of violence. I don't think the solution should be womens' problem though. I think it triggers a lot of people because trans women are men who are transitioning and by demanding all of these "rights" they are taking away from women. At it's core it is men taking away from women and society expecting women to put up with it and be nice. There are scrotes who pretend to be trans to take advantage of the "benefits". A creep pretending to be trans to go into a woman's change room, without being questioned or punished, is no different than a paedophile becoming a teacher to get closer to children. It's simply predatory people taking advantage of society's trust. This is why I am against anyone being able to just say they are trans (as opposed to having proof like hormone treatment, coming out to friends and family etc) and being able to enter womens' spaces. Trans women still have the physical benefits of male bodies and if they are dangerous then they can do a lot more damage to women than other women. I don't think it is fair for women to have that threat hanging over them just to be politically correct. Self preservation is natural and is already trained out of women by society. Of course I don't think trans women are inherently bad or dangerous. I just don't agree that their desire to feel included into womanhood is more important than women's physical safety and comfort. I hope this helps you to understand some of the "TERF" commentary you see on here. A lot of the concern is about the impact on (hard fought and hard won) women's rights.
