FDS relationship roundup

How quickly things can change.

Part of my FDS journey is levelling up all the relationships in my life. I've been unlearning habits from the past and looking through the lens of clarity instead of rose coloured glasses. Oh, and now I actively look for reciprocity and respect — imagine that!

Here's what I've noticed over the last 2-3 months:

- My instincts were correct about my new friendship with the neighbour. There isn't enough reciprocity and the dynamic didn't suit me. She only wants to hangout when she wants emotional support. Big red flag: the admission she and her husband frequent sex workers. After this weekend, I'm taking a giant step back.

- My initial perceptions about an older lady neighbour were incorrect. She's the high value queen I didn't know existed, and my previous interactions with her were a far cry from how awesome she is. I used to think she was stuck up and unfriendly, but that's not the case at all. She's got boundaries and I didn't have enough data to make a call.

Funny, because 3 months ago I expected to be better friends with the younger lady who's closer to my age, but the older queen is the real MVP. Origin story post still forthcoming. Life can be funny, so stay open and agile.

*I had to add this guy in:

- The professional contact who booked me for weekly consulting only to be a no-show during our session. He pinged me half way through our scheduled time to see if we could still meet. Why did he miss our session? He was walking his dog and lost track of time. Get the fuck outta here. I didn't even show up on zoom because my instinct told me he wasn't serious...and...he hadn't paid me before our scheduled time.

Thanks to FDS, I was on the lookout for signs of trouble and didn't gaslight myself when I saw them.
