It's a delightful coming of age comedy. I've watched it yesterday for the first time, but it's a 2019 movie. The director is Olivia Wilde (It's actually her first movie) and I admire her. She did so well! The movie manages to be so realistic, while being simultaneously a giant trip😂. The friendship between the two protagonists is so well written. I also loved that one of them is gay, but this is represented in a very genuine, realistic, non cringe way.
What do you guys think about it?
The scene where they become barbie dolls is iconic.
I think it had good points and it was cute that the film centered two young girls one of them a lesbian but there was a bit of libdem bullshit there, like watching lesbian porn to educate themselves... we all know most lesbian porn is not made for lesbians...
If you liked Booksmart, I recommend Plan B, a film about two teens on a road trip to seek contraceptives - is it really that hard to get contraceptives in the States? Anyway, it advertises itself as a gross out comedy but was actually quite sweet.
Loved it! In fact, it’s my “to go” recommendation whenever I see someone posting this dumb meme.
It's a cute film. I've only watched it once because I know someone who came out in it...and it's just too weird to watch them on there lol.
