I've known incels with mental health disorders - one had anxiety, the other has AvPD (diagnosed), depression, and alcoholism. The first one cheated on his gf (my friend) who dated him for 2 years straight and was way richer than him and unlike him was actually employed (he used his anxiety as an excuse to never seek out employment). The second one dumped me after telling me he was a secret alcoholic, refused to talk to anyone, shaved his head in some weird cry for attention when I moved on, and continues to be a friendless loser (not because other people didn't reach out to him but because he wrote them off).
They always bring it on themselves, and it's a fact that helps me sleep at night.
Yes!! When he was venting to my friend about how he made the wrong decision he said shit like "why did my parents raise me this way?" - not once did he look internally at his own flaws. That's what pissed me off more than anything.

And staying in the incel community worsens everything. My sympathy exists but it’s limited. People have to want to get better. I wish them well; there’s no sense wishing them even more harm because they are beating themselves up, tripping over their own feet, and searching for cliffs to throw themselves off of.
