Men are golddiggers. They will literally steal your money. I learned this the hard way. Be it if they insist on going 50:50, profit off of your free housework, expect expensive gifts or gambling your money away (CrYpTo). Do not give a single penny to them. They can't handle it for they are too emotional.
Worse. Gold diggers cook and clean an raise children that aren’t even theirs to obtain that gold. Men do nothing they are parasites who take but never give.
That's why they project so hard on us and why they act so scared that we're going to take their measly McDonald employee income. Most don't have that type of gold and they be the same men going after rich women. It's crazy out there.
Lol, I love the stock market but I buy boring and reliable shit like index funds.
I had coworkers who were all in on crypto, literally thought it was the new way of investing for retirement. Haven't talked to them since the crypto bubble burst but I'm sure they're crying in a corner somewhere.
Well, I don't understand most of the jargon in his post, but I certainly understand that he stole his wife's retirement savings. I wish she could sue him in addition to divorcing him.
When she divorces him, she's getting 1/2 of that debt. My sister was only married for 8 months, and her husband managed to get them into $50K debt. She had to pay $25K of it. My friend Suze also had a man get her $36K into debt. In a marriage, it's considered community property. Only if she can prove that he forged her signature on some documents to get the money out of her accounts to gamble with can she really do anything from what I know.
I just don't know. I would hope so. But I've read that shared retirement accounts are not very secure when it comes to one spouse unilaterally pulling out all the money.
He sold naked puts, which means for each contract he agreed to buy 100 shares of the underlying stock at the set price (the person on the other end buying the put contract agrees to sell 100 shares at that price). You make money selling puts when the price goes up or expires higher than the agreed upon price (and conversely you make money buying puts when the price drops and you can sell the contract for more money or it goes in the money and you can sell shares at a higher price than the closing price).
"Naked" is like buying on margin - he had no money reserves to buy the stock because he thought he wouldn't need it.
I remember this story on /r/wallstreetbets, because he posted this story there too. He set the trade to expire within 24 hours, which gave him no time to bail out of the trade if something went wrong, and to top it off did the trade on a day Powell was making another Fed announcement, which always makes the markets volatile and unpredictable. In this case, the market went over a cliff, dropped way below the agreed upon price he sold the contracts for, obligating him to buy a lot of shares way above the actual current share price, and so his broker liquidated him. Kind of like the repo man showing up because he knows you're fucked and won't be able to pay all of it so he wants to collect what he can while you still have some liquid in your account.
Why this guy thought market sentiment would be BULLISH after a Fed announcement during such a shit year is beyond me. He's literally too stupid to handle money.

I would absolutely divorce over this. What an irresponsible, selfish asshole to gamble with their shared retirement fund.
And when the wife leaves his ass all the men will blame women for divorce. What about men like him who are the reason for the divorce. Most men file for divorce when they replaced the wife, women file for divorce when they had enough.
It’s ridiculous. My ex-boyfriend acted all hurt when I ended things. Like I didn’t want to be in love and happy? I ended it because of HIS behaviour. I wanted the happily ever after!
So true. And women put up with soooo much! If you read relationship forums, you'll see women saying things like "husband is cheating, has gambled away our home and retirement, beats me and the kids, but I still love him and am not ready to leave", whereas men will be complaining that their wives didn't snap back to their high school weight 24 hours after giving birth.
My best friend from college's husband did something similar to her. He was a loser and only ever made it thru massage therapy school. She's an MD and an eminent psychologist who lectures all around America. He wanted to "become a landlord" by buying slums in Philly to which she refused to sign the loans. He forged her signature and went thru with the buy anyway, because a realtor guy at their church swore he'd be making money renting out the property. Well, after the sale, the property was condemned, so she found out about his little scheme. Then he put the cherry on top of the turd sundae by going down on a client and the client went to the police, and he was seeing their 250 lb neighbor on the side. He became a felon, they divorced, and he never sees his son. He's also living with the 250 lb neighbor.🤣 Do NOT marry a man who's got less money than you. It's a trap. He'll be out there gambling with your retirement money. And this guy is a fucking idiot. Does he not think that Jim Cramer is paid to LIE so that the elites who own these corporations will make more money? How fucking stupid can he be? He probably believes Vegas is on the level, too.
My ex drained my sole bank account during our divorce. The bank confirmed that he did it through identity theft. Cops did nothing as we were still technically married (divorce filed but hadn't been finalized yet). My attorney insisted that we tackle that after the child custody portion. Then when the custody order was finalized my attorney insisted that I pay him another $6000 retainer if I wanted to take him back to court for that.
I learned I should have filed for separation. Separation immediately separates your finances. I should have done that and then filed for divorce. I also learned that cops will gladly pass on any issue they're able to deem a civil matter (my ex constantly violating his restraining order reinforced that) and most attorneys are scumbags.
He has a high-powered attorney who he would gladly pay 100x more than what he owes me just to punish me. And I've given up on attorneys after seeing them all get steamrolled by his. I've rebuilt. I'm good. He's living in hell right now- addicted to meth, can only see his kids with a professional supervisor present, his once stellar reputation has gone to sh!t. I'll let him have that small win.
Yeah, I'd take out a million dollar life insurance on him, pretend I was okay with him for a year, and then he'd disappear into a lake. It's what men do to women all the time, and I've yet to hear of a woman who did anything like this guy did.
At least a woman is able to plan and calculate a near perfect murder by keeping her mouth shut

It's a good thing they are only 2 years into the marriage. She can file an annulment and sue for the money back since the scrote took it without her permission. I'm hoping atleast, it depends on what country and state she is in.
I've literally made pretty consistent money on option straddles during CPI reports and fed statements over the past year. I love how fucking inept men are with money (and everything else).
My first thought was, if he’s playing the stock market, he’s likely got enough education and knowledge to make that money back if he works hard. But he’s probably looking for an easy fix.
Second thought was, he sounds a dummy who deserves divorce.
To me this is a gambling addiction and it's not going to get better. He even says "I'll make it back" just like a gambling addict thinks he's going to win it all back

And if a woman did this to a man? Reddit would be screeching so loudly you could hear them in space

It's a small thing in this clusterfuck story, but anyone else catch him talking about the markets "raping" him?
Men are deliberately ignorant and unfeeling to the damage they inflict on others, my god.
Shit like this makes me think I may never marry again. The UK lacks decent prenup law and men are terrible with money.
The way I would murder him if I was his wife....

Not only should you have separate bank accounts, you should manage all the finances. Any investments you make as a family should go through you.
