I’m gonna echo what everyone else is saying. There’s plenty of women who don’t really date and are “behind” as well. But this reads as an excuse to me. Like it seems like he might date now and he treats these women badly but he’s saying “I didn’t get laid in HS so that’s why I’m not a good boyfriend“ 🙄

Im so sick of this rhetoric! First of all pick mes are always talking about how concerned they are for their mental heath, more so than woman’s mental health.

Im also sure these men have mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers that care about their mental health as well.

What men say when they talk about loneliness and poor mental health is

When I was in HS in the early 2000s it was verrrry normal for both boys and girls to not be dating. I didnt have my first boyfriend until after high school. And I was his first girlfriend. It was absolutely fine. Not an issue at all. Oh dear, I seem to have misplaced my tiny violin.

Try being a woman in your 30s who has never dated, been kissed, or even had a man show interest in being in a relationship with you. Imagine meeting a man who you thought did feel something for you but he breadcrumbed you, confused you, gave you intermittent reinforcement, and then ghosted you once he knew you had feelings for him. You opened your heart to him and trusted him and gave him kindness and support--the first time you ever did that in your life with a man--and he discarded you like you were nothing. Men can whine all they want about their poor, pitiful lives. I don't feel a drop of sympathy for them. They've created the rules. They've trapped us in this ridiculous nightmare of trying to love them when they cannot love us in return. They have made their beds. Let them lie in it.

They really can't conceive that there are also women in their 20s and even 30s+ who are similarly "behind" (but for very different reasons obviously), they just imagine every woman has had 500 boyfriends by 25. The incel rhetoric is so exhausting.

Whenever I tell men I rarely dated in my teens and 20s - by choice - they assume I'm lying. They can't figure out that not everyone's lives revolve around getting laid.

I don't know what a glow up is but nobody talks about how hard it is for a woman to date after she's been lied to and emotionally abused or worse raped. I'm here trying to think what is so hard about dating for men... Dying in childbirth from being raped or their zip getting stuck when they want to unleash their snake that's really a tiny worm. I support mental health for everyone: but I’m kinda tired of hearing how men have it sooooo hard compared to women. I no longer believe in that myth. And sometimes these men’s mental health promoters give me that vibe that they want us to feel especially sorry for them even tho they often do not take women’s mental health seriously.

I also think lvm who think they've glowed up are delusional.
