I was talking to a friend recently and we were talking about how guys never move on from women who have rejected them in the past. You can meet a guy that is 45 years old and he'll still be angry that at 16 years old, a girl he liked in high school rejected him when he asked her out. Why do men do this? Why hold on to something from the past, that should now be meaningless?!
While there are men who will try and get with the woman that rejected them, succeed in dating her then go on to dump her as part of an elaborate revenge plan, other men will go on to mistreat women they date, as a way of getting back at the woman who dumped or rejected them. Why mistreat someone who did nothing to you? This was one of the main reasons why Ted Bundy went on a killing spree - because his girlfriend dumped him because he was too clingy, overly nice and accommodating and was not doing anything with his life.
Does anyone have any insight into why men don't move on?
I'm not sure why they get so upset that 1 of the 8 cheerleaders in the entire high school wasn't into them when they were young and probably nerdy. I was tall and awkward and nobody asked me out until I met my husband when I was 24 years old. I never went to prom or even graduation parties, because I wasn't wanted. But I don't go around abusing people because of it. And men think that they've been rejected simply when a girl won't go out with them, but he wasn't planning to marry her. He just wanted to be the one to use her body instead of some other guy. It's very weird. In other species, the rejected males band together and hunt and try to get stronger and more attractive to the females (aka lions). But our males just go onto the internet and bitch, or they become predatory against women and children. I think it's porn related. They've seen these other women get railed on video, and they believe they're entitled to have a woman just like the guy onscreen does not thinking that this was a PAID production and ACTING. It's like they believe porn is reality and that all men deserve to be serviced like the ones they've seen on film. There's a disconnect between reality and fantasy for them that leads them to resent all women for not being like the porn stars he grew up jerking off to.

One of my friends was dating a guy in high school, but after a couple years she realized, that she doesn't like men at all (good for her) and came out as lesbian. He was devastated.
It's been about 15 years and he still tries to crawl back into her life from time to time to - and I quote!! - "make her heterosexual again". LMAO. The absolute delusion!
It's a convenient excuse to give for not committing or getting into a relationship.
Their egos. Nothing is more fragile.
They don't like to accept that they are flawed.
